Whether you are looking for a day out with your horse or a longer break there is so much to do at Bucklebury.
Our camps are becoming very popular, either for Birthday Parties or just an excused for a mini break with family and friends. Riding Clubs bringing their own Instructors, or Pony Clubs for Summer Camps and Rallies…..Or bring a picnic and just come for the day!!
Many of our visitors have bought their partners and children along too, plus bikes! Clay pigeon shooting can now also be arranged and Bucklebury Farm Park is very close by, across a field! One group of campers went for an afternoon learning how to paddle board at nearby Theale.
Hacking
Bucklebury has miles of Bridle paths and Byways One of our mapped rides is 10 miles all off road except for 500 yards on a very quiet road. Hack straight from the farm onto Bucklebury Common or go another direction into Yattendon Woods. These rides can lead you to West Berkshire Brewery, or several of the local pubs that are very ‘horse friendly’.
Visitors Stables
Situated just beside the Club Room and the camping field are 15 10’ x 12’ wooden stables are kept for the exclusive us of visitors. When you arrive, your stable will be ready for you with a fresh straw bed. 3 stables have rubber matting, so we can accommodate those who like to bring their own shavings. All we ask is, that on departure, you leave the stables clean and swept out. The stables are disinfected after each use.
Turn Out Pens
In the field adjoining our visitors stables we have 25 small pens where horse can be kept on grass. These have proved very popular with everyone! The ‘camping field’ is also close by, so you can go to bed watching your horse!!
Party Tent
Our large round ‘Party Tent’ is available to Campers. There is a gas BBQ and a wonderful place to relax and watch the sun set.
Club Room
Our Club Room is suitable for groups of up to 30 people. Complete with tables and chairs and and comfortable settees it is available for campers and outside groups. The room has oil fired central heating and an ideal place to warm up after riding in the cold or wet. It also has free WiFi and Television.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully fitted with cooker/larder fridge/small deep freeze and Microwave etc. it has china/glasses and cutlery for 25 people. This is adjacent to our club room.
Showers
We have two shower rooms with washbasin and loo for visitors adjoining the kitchen and club Room. These are centrally heated.

Cross Country Course
Bucklebury Equestrian has 2 Cross Country schooling fields which are open all the year round. There are over 80 fences from logs on the ground and varying in size up to 100cm and difficulty over undulating ground. There are cross country fences to suit all levels of horse and rider. The Course length is over 1.5 kilometres .

Dressage
Bucklebury Equestrian offer 60x20m and 40x20m grass dressage arenas and two all weather arenas for flatwork schooling, dressage test practice or as a venue for a dressage competition

Showjumping & Trec
Bucklebury Equestrian's show jumping paddock has a variety of BSJA jumps from simple cross poles to fillers, water trays and a wall with the course changed regularly.
